States are reviewing thier gun laws
Since the election of Barack Obama, gun rights advocates have feared that tougher federal laws would be enacted that trump states' rights to govern their own affairs in this sensitive area. So far, the federal government has not acted--but several states have. Legislatures are scrambling to ease concealed carry permit requirements. Other states with concealed carry laws are passing legislation that would make carrying firearms openly legal for concealed carry permit holders.
